I arranged this work to SSAA, originally SATB version for Ensemble Maika, for their competition. This version is also easy, I think, to sing because I composed this song while thinking about arranging. (There are no divisi, so four singers can sing it.) The text is derived, awe-inspiringly, from a wonderful text that Fumiaki Kuriyama contributed to his own choir’s program.
Let us accept Mr. Kuriyama’s loving complaint against chorus members, who sing “selfishly.”
