O nata lux

Composer: Matteo Magistrali
Words from composer

O light born of light… one of the most fascinating images I have ever known.
It is not easy to describe with music the “beginning” that generates light from nothing, and makes its way into endless darkness.
In this suggestion made of light that generates light, man’s prayer unfolds: it is a voice that wants peace, redemption, love. The story of the miracle of birth comes to life from Gregorian melodies that intertwine with evocative resonances that run throughout the piece.
