“Iubilate Deo” It is a sacred work based on Psalm 100; it is the genuine expression of praise in gratitude to God.
The Venezuelan rhythm onda nueva is the inspiration for the creation of the festive atmosphere that makes up several sections of this musical work. As well as what is characteristic of rhythm, Onda nueva contains a mixture of sounds that sometimes evoke jazz; this work expresses hints of color and an allegorical character.
Within “Iubilate Deo” we can find contemporary elements such as spoken voice combined with singing, glissandos, nasal voice and intricate dissonances.
