HYMNUS

Composer: György Orbán

Words from composer:

The birthday of Jesus is a high Christian feast.

According to the Holy Scripture, he was born almost in secret. His parents were hiding, and their Holy Son came into the world in a stable. His first visitors were the Three Wise Men of the East. The shepherds came down from the hills, and as if the whole nature was rejoicing and celebrating him.

It is an important scene of the Nativity Play of old, preserved and treasured in the folk tradition.
