Friends are an irreplaceable treasure

Composer: Ko Matsushita
Lyricist: Yukiko Tachikawa and Nobue Doi

Words from composer:

This piece was composed for a kindergarten graduation ceremony in Hachioji City, Tokyo and was premiered with much cheer by the graduating class of 27 children including my daughter.

The lyrics were written by Ms. Yukiko Tachikawa and Ms. Nobue Doi, the teachers of that year’s graduating class.

Though it was originally intended to be sung in unison, I highly encourage the alto part to also be sung when the piece is performed by elementary school students.

Whether this piece is performed at a graduation ceremony, during music class, or children’s choir, I hope that all the singers will enjoy it and sing it with as much energy and happiness as the children that premiered it.

Printed score and digital score are prepared. Please choose one below.
