Cantate Domino was composed in the spring 2019 after a commission from Eos female choir of Rome, conducted by M° Fabrizio Barchi. The work had a particularly complex genesis due to the close connection with the commissioning choir. Their conductor asked me to modify numerous formal and musical aspects of the piece. This stimulated me a lot to try to be myself but at the same time meet the needs of the choir to create an interesting piece both for the composer and the choir.
