Aaronic Blessing

Composer:Paweł Łukaszewski

Words from composer

Aaronic Blessing is a composition for two unaccom-panied mixed choirs. This is another piece for such an ensemble after the previously composed: Ave Maria, Ave maris Stella and Salve Regina. The Aaronic Blessing is the blessing that Aaron and his sons were to speak over the people of Israel, recorded in Numbers 6:24–26: The Lord bless you and keep you. I used text in two languages simultaneously: Latin and English. A cheerful piece is kept at a slow tempo and lasts about 4 minutes.
