 Panis angelicus is a meditation on the Eucharistic mystery: it begins with a gregorian inspired melody with a very soft vocal accompaniment that in a while become polyphonic. The following section tries to suggest the majesty of the “Rex mirabilis” returning then to the softness of the beginning to prepare the reprise.
