This piece has been written in memory of my grandfathers, who died respectively in 2006 and 2010. The song is divided into 3 parts: the first one is a sort of funeral march with several modal melodies, in the second (the longest one) the voices initially sing in a staggered way and then gradually merge in a choral section that becomes more and more moving and painful, but which culminates with a major chord that instills a sense of hope for the new life that comes after death (according to the Christian religion). In the final part, the incipit of the piece is resumed, leading to a major chord on the pianissimo that aims to emphasize the sense peace of eternal rest.

Questo brano è stato scritto in memoria dei miei nonni, morti rispettivamente nel 2006 e 2010. Il brano si suddivide in 3 parti: nella prima viene ricreata una sorta di marcia funebre con melodie modali, nella seconda (la più lunga e variegata) le voci inizialmente cantano in maniera sfalsata per poi unirsi coralmente in una parte che diviene sempre più struggente e dolorosa, ma che culmina con un accordo maggiore che infonde un senso di speranza per la nuova vita che viene dopo la morte (secondo la religione cristiana). Nella parte finale viene ripreso l’incipit del pezzo che sfocia in un accordo maggiore sul pianissimo che vuole sottolineare la pace del riposo eterno.
