Notes from the composer:

This piece was born with my strong desire to write a new work, inspired and moved by hearing and seeing a Spanish children’s choir perform with their body expression in Japan. I was absorbed in composing Kyrie, a prayer song, thinking of the transparent and endless blue sky. The SSAA version was first performed by Toyota Boys and Girls Choir in December 2017. Male choir Ginga will premiere this TTBB version on 18 September 2023.
