Christina Rossetti (1830-1894) was an English poet during the Victorian era who left many imaginative and beautiful poems. This poetry, “The Rainbow,” also rhymes rhythmically, singing of clouds and rainbows moving beyond the sky. I would be happy if you could sing the rhyme of the words to the rhythm of the music, singing lightly and freely. It would be wonderful if the voices could color the scene with rhythm, harmony, and contrast while each voice goes on vividly. Christina Rossetti has many wonderful poems that will renew your eyes seeing the world, so I hope you will enjoy other poems by her.
